Gary Blissett, Managing Director
Gary Blissett has worked at the family company since 1971 becoming Managing Director in 1989. The third generation of Blissetts to take the helm, Gary has successfully modernised the business by bringing in a digital arm to run alongside the traditional bookbinding which has sustained the company for decades. Gary is a trained binder but doesn’t get to practice the skill much as he would like as he looks after the sales and marketing of the company and travels extensively advising on solutions and all aspects of binding.
Chris Blissett, Photobooks Director
Chris joined father, Gary, in the family business in September 2009 and becomes the fourth generation of Blissett in the company. Chris' arrival in the company has meant that they can further develop the digital side of the business. His main focus is the development of the photobook service, both on the technical side and the customer liason side. He also oversees the running of the general print and bind areas.
Gary Mitchell, Sales Director
Gary joined Blissetts in 2015 as the landmark, first non-family Director of the business and brings a vast experience in high quality digital printing from a number of commercial operations. His enthusiasm and ideas have brought many changes to the company already and he is helping us to prepare for the future of printing and bookbinding. Of course, his main focus will be on working with our customers trying to assist with all of their printing requirements and he is looking forward to talking with each and every one of you.
Dardan Rakovica, Print Production Manager
Dardan’s interest in the printing industry began with his family business at a very young age. He joined the company in 2010 as a print account manager and has since progressed into a management role. Since working at Blissetts he has enhanced his skills further in digital print and production and his main areas of expertise are the technical side of print as well as ensuring that the quality of the finished product is to the highest standard.
Mark Thompson, Bindery Manager
Mark has been with the company since 1987. Mark learned the skill of bookbinding with Blissetts and has been in charge of the bindery since 1997 with day to day responsibility of all incoming work, training of staff and improvement of systems to ensure a smooth work flow to high standards.
Dieter Rader, Head of Restoration and Fine Binding
Dieter originally worked for Blissetts from 1983 until 1988 when he left to work on his own fine binding company for over 20 years honing his art. He re-joined the company in 2008 as Conservation and Restoration Manager. His knowledge of the fine art of bookbinding, conservation and restoration is vast and he is in charge of the day to day running of this section of the bindery.
Tina Creme, Finance
Tina, a fellow member of the Association for Accounting Technicians (FMAAT) has over 30 years experience in senior/management accountancy roles. Tina has been juggling figures for Blissetts since February 2007 and is responsible for management reporting and ensuring all things financial run like clockwork.
Ian Cramer, Design
Ian has worked with Blissetts and associated companies for over twenty years. He works on a huge variety of design projects and his creative flair, originality and strong visual sense has enabled us to build up long and successful relationships with our clients. These customers range from the man on the street to large Council Corporations and being placed within the print and binding environment it allows Ian to advise and guide customers towards the best and most economic solution.
